This upgrade applies to HP Samsung . I use a Samsung Galaxy Chat which is default Android ICS OS . I do not know if this upgrade also applies to other types of HP Samsung . But it never hurts to try.

To upgrade to Jelly Bean , Samsung offers two ways . The first is through Kies and second via FOTA ( Firmware over the Air ) . If you want to upgrade directly through your phone , you can choose via FOTA . But in my opinion , the best way is via Kies .

I had to upgrade my Android via Kies . And the following steps - steps :

First , if you have not installed Kies , please download Kies at http://www.samsung.com/id/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP .

Second , install Kies on your computer and once complete, run .

Third , connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable

Fourth , once your phone is detected Kies , click the name of your phone is already detected it .



Fifth , if the HP software upgrade available for your samsung , it will appear that tells you that there is a firmware available for the Android that you use .

Sixth , click the Firmware Upgrade
